Jackpine Paddle
From the stunning beauty and world-class features of the Canadian Heritage Rivers we travel – to the most storied & largest conservation areas in Canada, each of our kayak and canoe trips offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in true wilderness.
Most of our destinations require floatplane access and are far off the beaten track – even by northern standards. Exploring each of our remote routes is an awe-inspiring accomplishment for the most experienced travellers. As the leader in Arctic tundra expeditions, we go where few ever will.

Coppermine River Canoe Trip
Paddle in the footsteps of Sir John Franklin’s journey to the Arctic Ocean on this 14-day, fully guided canoe trip.
Home to the Bluenose East caribou herd, you should keep your eyes peeled for this keystone species, along with grizzlies patrolling flat-topped mountains along our route. The Coppermine River is known for profile arctic char fishing, alongside arctic grayling and lake trout.
Easy-going swifts and relaxed sections of river allow for a warm-up prior to the high-volume rapids known as Rocky Defile, Muskox, & Sandstone rapids.
Location: Begins in Yellowknife, ends in Kugluktuk
Time: July & August
