Welcome to Nunavut
Nunavut is a Canadian territory located in the northernmost part of the country. It is the largest and newest territory, having been established in 1999 after the separation from the Northwest Territories. Nunavut spans over 2 million square kilometers, making it the fifth-largest country subdivision in the world.
The territory consists of 25 communities and is home to a population of approximately 40,000 people, mostly Inuit, who have a deep connection to the land and the sea. Nunavut is known for its stunning natural beauty, including vast tundras, glaciers, and ice caps, as well as a unique cultural heritage that has been preserved for generations.
